Hillside Printing has been "digital" with Xerox technology since 1995, making us the most experienced digital print shop on Vancouver Island. Our Nuvera utilizes laser technology to bring you top quality text, photos & graphics. This amazing equipment prints at a rate of up to 6,000 impressions per hour and we have 3 of them, allowing us to offer quick turnarounds on any size job.

The Digipath hi-speed workstation and scanner allow our operators to manipulate your digital files, merge digital and hard copy originals, edit and scan to produce your documents.

The Nuvera is probably the most versatile xerographic printer on the market today. Digital technology is capable of ever higher resolutions in printing, providing better and better finished pages.  While we almost never see hard copy originals these days we can make them digital very efficiently.  We accept files from both Mac & PC platforms and from virtually every professional publishing or graphics package in use today (list below).

Archiving

We have the ability to very efficiently store files digitally for ongoing retrieval and printing. This feature can change the way businesses handle their print requirements. Large inventories of printed materials no longer need to be warehoused or stored. Clients can order exactly the number they need, when they need them.

Print On Demand

Printing-on-Demand is a bit of a cliche in the printing industry. It was coined around the time laser technology allowed us to print from digital files. It allows for additional copies of any job on file to be printed, at any point in time. This feature is especially important for companies that print manuals or books for outside distribution. If you are unsure of the demand for your documentation or if there are frequent updates, print on demand technology is a great benefit. It is now practical to print relatively short runs of your project while keeping your per unit cost at a reasonable level.
